Brent Walker

Chief Technology Officer

Brent joined Clearcover in May of 2020 as the Vice President of Engineering, where he helped lead the team through tremendous growth while maturing both the technology strategy and execution process. In less than a year, he was named SVP of Engineering. After scaling the team to over 100, he was named Chief Technology Officer in 2022 to continue overseeing strategy and driving effective software development processes to ensure business results: delivering high-value, high-quality products to market.

Brent has more than 20 years of engineering experience as both an individual contributor and technology leader. For the last 6 years, Brent has focused on scaling startups into hyper growth by delivering large-scale technology solutions. His strengths include: technology strategy, Agile execution, recruiting, building high-performing teams, performance management and mentoring leaders and software engineers.

Prior to joining Clearcover, Brent held the VP of Engineering role at Vivid Seats where he spent three years scaling the organization from a founder-led startup to a mature high-performing product development group. In his tenure at Vivid Seats, Brent tripled the engineering organization, standardized the execution methodology, dramatically improved overall quality, established offshore engineering teams, delivered numerous features and integrations and improved system performance and stability. Prior to that role, Brent was the VP of engineering at Raise.com

During his career. Brent spent nearly 13 years at Orbitz. Over the course of his career at Orbitz, Brent experienced the growth of a startup, scaling from 30 engineers to more than 1,000. During his last five years there, he served as Group Manager for the technology and teams that powered air, car, cruise, customer support and attractions and services.

Early in his career, Brent worked as an engineer for companies such as Deloitte and Touche, Leapnet, and a McDonald’s startup eMac Digital.

Brent earned a BA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a focus on computer information systems.
